As part of the seabass family, Groupers live in the temperate waters from the mid-Atlantic states to the Gulf of Mexico, Central America and South America. Grouper is quite popular on restaurant menus due to its firm texture and high moisture content. The meat is mild and sweet but distinct.
Most prefer to grill grouper, however it can also be be baked, fried, broiled, and sautéed.
